Entreat Me weaves a captivating retelling of Beauty and the Beast. Warlord Ballard of Ketach Tor, cursed for centuries, is slowly losing his humanity and spiraling into madness. Hope appears when his son returns with an exceptionally beautiful woman, but her arrival is soon overshadowed by the threat of her elder sister. Louvaen Duenda, determined to save her sibling, ventures into a forsaken castle shrouded in dark magic and inhabited by malevolent forces. Faced with a powerful warlord consumed by hatred, Louvaen must navigate a treacherous path where love could either be the key to salvation or a force of destruction.
Entreat Me is an incredible retelling of Beauty and the Beast, earning a well-deserved five-star rating. Grace Draven has skillfully reimagined this classic tale, and though I struggled through the beginning, I’m thrilled I continued—the ending is utterly captivating.
The dynamic between Louvaen and Ballard is a highlight of the book. Their interactions are filled with perfect banter and undeniable chemistry. Louvaen, a refreshingly strong heroine, contrasts beautifully with Ballard, who breaks away from the traditional prince mold to become a fierce, battle-scarred warlord. I appreciated how Louvaen’s younger half-sister fits the traditional “Beauty” role, while Lou’s “beauty” is her brain and wit. Entreat Me was absolutely stunning.
If the beginning feels challenging, stick with it—the ending is absolutely worth the effort.
